Hello, you have found the APUSH summer reading assignment web page. This page contains the information you need to be prepared to start class in August.

APUSH is a fast paced class that requires dedication and hard work in order to suceed. This summer is your first taste of what the year will hold. You will be expected to read 6 chapters in the textbook: American Pageant 16th edition, watch video lectures and complete study guides and quizzes. 

 

When school resumes in the fall, we will begin with an exam over these 6 chapters and you will hand in all written assignments. Failure to have these chapters read and the assignments completed will jeopardize your success in this class.

 

Plan on working on this assignment throughout the summer and do NOT leave it until the last few weeks before school begins. Below you will find instructions on how to get started:

 

1. Purchase the textbook The American Pageant 16th edition. You must have this edition as it corresponds with the redesign of the AP exam.

2. Click on the Schoology information link and follow the instructions to sign up for the APUSH summer class.

3. Work your way through the lessons.
